Akenside Service makes happy pets
Most of our business is repeat customers that have been referred to us. For those leaving their pets with us for the first time, we understand that this may not come easily, but you can feel confident that your pet will receive personalized attention to all their needs, as well as plenty of TLC while you are away. Our business is based on happy pets.
We realize, when your pet is healthy and happy on your arrival to take them home, that we have earned another repeat customer, one that will likely pass on good words about us!
Boarding Services
Each dog will have its own individual run (Two from the same household may go together if you prefer.) Like any all-inclusive resort, we provide everything that our guests could possibly want.
Food, blankets and bowls are all waiting for your pets arrival, but you are welcome to send anything your pet really enjoys to have from home.
Nature Walks
Dogs really love the walk through the acreage that we offer for no additional charge. Most take the opportunity to take care of business and to put their noses to work. Some dogs may require two or three shorter walks if Mother Nature doesn't beckon in the concrete run.
Grooming Services
On-site grooming is available. We pride ourselves on ensuring that your pet(s) will leave just as clean, if not cleaner, than when they arrived. We provide gentle shampoos for all pets and also give healthy flea baths as needed.

We groom by appointment only for non-boarding dogs.
Some dogs are just messy by nature. If groomed, you are assured your dog will go home smelling fresh and clean. Grooming always includes ears and brush out (depending on coat.) Prices for grooming vary widely, depending on breed and condition of coat.

We can accommodate almost any special request for services to ensure your pet's stay is a true vacation. Some charges may apply.

Prices are subject to change without notice and are primarily set by size of breed with exceptions for a few breeds.

You may check in at any time during office hours.
We encourage you to bring your own food for your pet. There is no extra charge. However, we insist that food is in a container with a lid to avoid encouraging vermin. Please name all pets' belongings.
Vaccinations Required
In the best interest of all visitors, Akenside Kennels require proof of current vaccinations (i.e. annual booster & rabies bordatella is optional).
Your receipt from your veterinary clinic should list due dates for your pet. You can either bring in copies when you come to check in or fax them to us at 780-467-5417.
